Captain Cicero Rufus Perry Genealogy

The newly formed advisory board for the Captain Cicero Rufus Perry Museum has recommended research and development of a family genealogy for this noted Texas Ranger. This action is designed to enhance our knowledge of Capt. Perry and his family, and to facilitate identification of Capt. Perry’s living descendants who wish to be appraised of Museum improvements, activities, and events.

Significant genealogical information has already been collected. Included in this information, however, are numerous inconsistencies and conflicting data. As anyone who has worked with family genealogies will attest, these problems are not unusual and are to be expected.

To ensure our genealogy is as accurate as possible, we are requesting assistance from anyone who is descended from the children (listed below) of Capt. Perry and his wife, Margaret Ann Rousseau.

William Marshall Perry b. 1849, d. abt 1861
Margaret Ann Perry b. 1851, d. 1955 married James Mack Neal
John Perry b. 1854 married Louise Brown
Mary Nancy Perry b. 1856 married Bradford Tuttle
Charles Perry b. 1861 married Alice Speen
Jennie Perry b. 1864, d. 1964 married William Jesse Shipp
Maud(e) Perry b. 1869 married a Mr. Rogan (Rogen)
Asa Perry b. 1871 married Isabel Locke

We would also be happy to hear from anyone, Perry descendant or otherwise, who is willing to share information, genealogical or anecdotal, pertaining to Capt. Perry, his ancestors, or descendants.
