Lavender Nights in Johnson City Texas

The Johnson City Chamber of Commerce & all the co-sponsors would like to invite you to participate in the 2009 7th Annual Fourth of July Spange Dangle Parade.

Do you know what is amazing about the Johnson City Fourth of July Spange Dangle? Would you like to know? Well, it is the incredible gratification you get of seeing a community come together for such a fantastic, heart warming, heart wrenching, exciting, loud, colorful Fourth of July event that allows every soul within our community to participate. This could be, by you participating in the Parade, sponsoring the event by either giving your time, equipment, labor and/or donations or best of all just being there to see the Parade and the Fireworks and the music and all the things that make our Fourth of July Spange Dangle Event what it is. Wow ! ! !

The Parade is Free to enter and IF you fill out an application prior to it getting underway at 7 PM you might just win a 1st , 2nd , 3rd prize or most Patriotic  or Best Animal Presentation. You can download the application from the web or go to the JC City Hall and fill it out. The Spange Dangle Fireworks Ceremony  begins at approximately 9:15 PM with live music on stage from 3 PM to 9:00 PM. Food, Beer, Wine, Sodas, Shaved Ice, Cotton Candy and more will be at the Blanco County Fairgrounds. There is a map of the Spange Dangle Parade on the web.

I have had the opportunity to work with so many people, people of this community that care about this community. We have at least 20 chairs that are running different parts of the Spange Dangle event. There are many people involved in the preparations of Spange Dangle. There are businesses that are donating resources to help make this event happen.  The sponsors of the 2009 Spange Dangle event increase by the day. Look at all the businesses, organizations and individuals that in some way are part of this great celebration. There are communities all around us that are not having a Fourth of July event because they do not have the resources to pull it together. Why? Well, yes we are a country  in a slump, but there are some of us  in Johnson City & surrounding area who believe that if everyone gets involved and puts in a little of themselves then we can make it happen and guess what, it is happening. We are having it and we want every member of the community to be there. To learn more about the 2009 Fourth of July Spange Dangle Event, give us a call at 830-868-7684 info@johnsoncitytexaschamber.com.
